Integrity & Anti-Corruption Policy

Suriname Investment Platform (“SIP”) is committed to conducting its business with the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct. SIP maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward bribery, corruption, or any form of improper business practices.

This policy applies to all individuals and entities acting on behalf of SIP, including employees, directors, consultants, advisors, contractors, service providers, and strategic partners.

Commitment to Ethical Business Conduct
SIP conducts its activities in accordance with internationally recognized principles of ethical business conduct and expects the same standards from all parties involved in its projects and operations. All business relationships must be conducted with honesty, transparency, and accountability.

Zero Tolerance for Corruption
SIP strictly prohibits any form of bribery or corruption. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • offering, promising, or providing any improper financial or other advantage
  • requesting or accepting any form of bribe or inappropriate benefit
  • facilitating improper payments through third parties
  • engaging in conduct intended to improperly influence business decisions or public officials

These principles apply in interactions with both public sector and private sector counterparts.

Public Officials
A public official refers to any person employed by or acting on behalf of a government, public authority, state-owned enterprise, or international public organization. This includes:

  • government employees at any level
  • political representatives or candidates
  • employees of government-controlled entities
  • representatives of international public organizations
  • individuals performing public duties on behalf of public institutions

SIP strictly prohibits any form of improper payment, gift, or advantage intended to influence a public official.

Business Partners and Third Parties
SIP expects its business partners, consultants, advisors, contractors, and service providers to comply with the principles outlined in this policy. Partners must act with integrity and must not engage in any activity that could create the appearance of bribery, corruption, or improper influence. Appropriate due diligence may be conducted when establishing relationships with new partners or service providers.

Payments and Financial Transparency
All financial transactions related to SIP activities must be legitimate, properly documented, and conducted through transparent financial channels. The following practices are strictly prohibited:

  • cash payments related to project activities
  • payments to unidentified or unrelated third parties
  • payments without proper documentation or contractual basis
  • payments intended to circumvent compliance or regulatory obligations

All payments must be made to legitimate business accounts of contracted service providers.

Gifts and Hospitality
SIP maintains a conservative approach regarding gifts, hospitality, and other benefits. Any hospitality or gifts must:

  • be modest and reasonable in value
  • serve a legitimate business purpose
  • be transparent and appropriate in the circumstances

Gifts or benefits intended to influence business decisions or public officials are strictly prohibited.

Record Keeping
SIP maintains accurate records of transactions, agreements, and due diligence activities to ensure transparency and accountability. Appropriate documentation is maintained for business relationships, financial transactions, and project activities.

Reporting Concerns
Any individual associated with SIP who becomes aware of potential violations of this policy is encouraged to report the matter. SIP will review concerns carefully and take appropriate action where necessary to maintain ethical standards.
